FONTEIN was a dutch Jazzrock band in the 70ties, playing its own style that was influenced by bands such as 11th HOUSE, THE MAHAVISHNU ORCHESTRA and THE HEADHUNTERS.
Based in Zwolle, the band performed in clubs and at all kinds of festivals in the Netherlands.
Improvisation was a very important element in their music, thats why every concert had a slightly different touch than the one before.
FONTEIN was surely not a commercial band, its strength was in the love for the music and richness of musical elements.
